Avalanche sealed an alliance to boost an NFT platform.

Ava Labs, the developer of the Avalanche network, has announced a partnership with SI Tickets, the ticket-selling platform owned by the US-based magazine Sports Illustrated. This collaboration has led the NFT ticket-selling platform, Box Office, to join the blockchain network.

The purpose of this agreement, as reported by Avalanche, is to assist the platform in utilizing the network’s benefits, particularly its “low fees” and “high performance” on demand.

Inco launched its first test network after raising $4.5 million. David Lane, CEO of SI Tickets, praised Ava Labs as “the best partner,” expressing confidence that Avalanche will enhance the tickets they offer with “dynamic content”:

“There are countless advantages to blockchain ticket issuance, and as it continues to gain adoption, we believe our partnership with Ava Labs will create the market leadership the Web3 community has been waiting for.”

The ‘Durango’ update was activated on Avalanche’s Fuji testnet. John Nahas, Senior VP of BD at Ava Labs, emphasized that in the North American market and even in South Korea, there is recognition that blockchain-driven NFT ticket sales can add new dimensions of value by engaging fans in new ways. According to Nahas:

“Avalanche NFTs simply enhance events and ticket sales for all parties involved, demonstrating ticketing experiences.”

In this context, the SI Tickets-Avalanche integration represents the latest chapter in the blockchain ticketing issuance movement, where Ava Labs has already shown great interest in the growing popularity of NFT tickets.
