Arbitrum Expands as an Ecosystem for Web3 Games

TreasureDAO is harnessing the advantages and potential offered by the Arbitrum network to create a Web3 gaming platform capable of providing users with an unparalleled user experience, with low commission fees and fast transactions.

The Arbitrum blockchain ecosystem, which has its dedicated chain for Web3 games and social applications called Arbitrum Nova, is growing in this sector thanks to its high levels of scalability, security, and efficiency, benefiting both developers and users.

Arbitrum is a layer-two solution or L2, secured by Ethereum, based on Optimistic Rollup technology, allowing users to interact with decentralized applications (DApps) as if they were on Ethereum, but with transactions costing only a fraction of the fees on the main network.

TreasureDAO Announces a New and Promising Web3 Chain on Arbitrum

The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) dedicated to blockchain game development, TreasureDAO, has announced its new project, Treasure Infinity Chains. It aims to create a chain or network of interconnected games that allow players to explore different worlds and have playful experiences.

The project was introduced through an informative technical document or litepaper, which was released on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) last week. This document details the objectives, architecture, and economic model of Treasure Infinity Chains.

Through Treasure Infinity Chains, TreasureDAO seeks to create an interoperable gaming platform that allows players to enjoy different options on various blockchain networks.

Additionally, by utilizing the Arbitrum blockchain, Treasure will offer a seamless and entertaining gaming experience, highly scalable and secure, to its players on the chain.

“The chain, built with Arbitrum’s technology, will be tailored to the specific needs of Treasure’s gaming ecosystem, in order to provide optimal performance and sufficient security guarantees in the games,” the DAO stated.

New Tools for Web3 Game Developers

In addition to the new gaming-focused network, the DAO will also provide new essential tools for blockchain game developers. Firstly, TreasureDAO announced the launch of the Treasure Development Kit (TDK), a development kit that will offer Web3 game builders multi-platform support for various popular game engines, such as Unity and Godot. Moreover, the TDK will enable developers to create tokens and game logic with ease.

Furthermore, the DAO announced the launch of the Treasure Management Console (TDM), a management console that will provide customizable support for configuring games according to developers’ and players’ preferences. This console will also allow managing player identities, metrics, and other elements.

MAGIC, the Token Connecting the Treasure Chain Ecosystem

The MAGIC token is the heart of TreasureDAO’s ambitious project. This token has become the key currency that will connect players, games, and communities within the broader Treasure ecosystem.

The utility token has various versatile uses, ranging from governance to participation. MAGIC will be the token used to pay fees for cross-chain infrastructure, with a portion allocated to the Arbitrum network, ensuring that the goals and operations of both projects are aligned.

According to the DAO’s document, the implementation of Treasure Infinity Chains on testnet is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. The DAO announced that its plans aim to foster early adoption of the new Web3 gaming platform.

On the other hand, the official launch of Treasure Infinity Chains on mainnet is planned for the third quarter of this year, providing developers with sufficient time to evaluate the implementation and address any possible bugs or issues.

Growing GameFi Ecosystem on Arbitrum

In addition to Treasure Infinity Chains, other projects related to the world of Web3 games are being built using Arbitrum’s technology. Last year, Offchain Labs developers announced the development of Xai, a blockchain dedicated to games, aiming to offer a scalable, efficient, and cost-effective game architecture tailored for the next wave of Web3 innovation.

According to estimates from several major firms, blockchain games could expand at an annual growth rate of up to 47% in the next decade, making it one of the most highly demanded sectors in the crypto industry. Based on these estimates, several blockchain projects, such as Arbitrum, are currently competing to provide infrastructures and environments tailored to the future needs of the crypto industry.

Web3Games, Galaxia Studios, BattleFly, Camelot Guardian, Honor World, NeoBred, and Frends on Chain are some of the Web3 gaming projects being developed on the Arbitrum network. Several of these projects have also been deployed on other Ethereum layer-2 solutions, such as Polygon, Base, and Optimism.
