EarlyWorks and Social Finance Collaborate for Blockchain Game Development

EarlyWorks Co., Ltd., a Japanese company renowned for its exclusive private blockchain technology, the Grid Ledger System (GLS), has recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Social Finance Limited, the operator of the Web3 platform GuildQB, one of the largest blockchain gaming guilds in Japan. This strategic partnership represents a significant step by EarlyWorks to leverage the potential of GLS within the gaming industry.

According to the MOU, EarlyWorks and Social Finance have agreed to collaborate on the planning, development, and operation of blockchain games using advanced blockchain technology. Under the agreement, EarlyWorks will supply GLS, offering design support for the blockchain game and handling technical validation, system development, and operations. Meanwhile, Social Finance will oversee blockchain game planning, marketing, content selling within blockchain games, and the establishment and management of communities in the blockchain gaming space. The revenue-sharing terms for each product will be determined through negotiations between the two companies.

The main objective of this partnership is to enhance real-time processing capabilities and elevate the overall user experience in blockchain games. Traditional blockchain games often face challenges related to algorithmic processing on public chains, leading to limitations in real-time responsiveness. In contrast, GLS tackles these challenges by moving a significant portion of public chain processing to a secure off-chain environment, seamlessly connecting with public chains. This innovative approach allows GLS to achieve ultra-high-speed processing, surpassing the capabilities of independently operating public chains.

GLS’s real-time processing capabilities open the door to the immediate issuance of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) for purchase or transfer, enabling players to use NFT items in-game instantly. The system also facilitates the effective utilization of NFT items within the broader context of blockchain games. The first blockchain game, a simulation role-playing game, is currently in development and is set to be released based on GLS technology.
